Grand China Buffet in Pharr

Most food is good. The grill is good when a certain person is there working it. The prices on the weekend are a little high. A 10 year old is considered an adult! And charged as such.

My favorite Chinese buffet in the whole valley of Texas. It has a great variety of meats and seafood always fresh. Very clean place.They have different kinds of salads : tuna salad, potato, crab, egg, and many green salad ingredients.Variety of fish: salmon, steam fish, fried fish, whole fried tilapias.Fried stuff: fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets, egg rolls, crab ragoons, stuffed peppers, etc.Many shrimp dishes. And Many more things. The Mongolian grill has everything you need for a freshly made dish.I'm never disappointed at this place. The only thing is that they have Pepsi products NO COCA-COLA.

Food was cold when I first went but the second time was better.

Slowly they are coming back from quarantine! Missing a few items but just glad we can go back to a Chinese buffet! Must wear a mask!

This is my new go to Chinese buffet spot. Large variety of selection and large space for seating. Good quality of food and service. Waiters are very attentive to you as well. Fairly new building so it is very clean and nice looking.

Too pricey and the food isn't even all that great. It looks thrown together. At 15 bucks a person the food should be worth the price.

Place was ok! Until we found hair in our food that was cooked into it! When we talked to manager about it her response was well it's a buffet it will happen!! But we told her that particular dish just came out no one was even by it yet we were first to grab food from it! But still she said we'll it's a buffet sorry it happens all the time!! $25 down the drain was on 1st plate was disgusted and ready to puke! Who wants bite into food and eat hair!! Never going back!

Food was good. They've taken all the necessary precautions as much as possible to keep customers safe.

Children touching the deserts with there hands and then placing the desert back on the tray, grabbing the serving utinsils and picking cake and icing off , yet no staff around to monitor and parents not supervising there children. Customers cross contaminating using same serving utensil for different food serving. Then you have those adults that think there at home that place servings of food items on there plates and decide that’s not what they wanted and they as well put it back. •Signs need to be place that an state that an adult must be present to assist the child at all times.At no time can any food be returned to the original serving dish at any time once food serving is placed on there plate,Great place to eat , good food but these issues continue to happen each time I’ve gone there.

Food was very delicious but this place is on the pricier side of buffets. Staff is not that friendly either. I stood wondering if I needed to be seated or if I could just go anywhere. The lady that escorts you to your seats had her feet up and was eating while I looked confused. Must have been amusing to her. This place gets a 4 star rating based on food alone. Staff, 1 star.

A top place for quality buffet food. Went there on a Friday I think. Quick and friendly service. Bring your appetite because portions are generous. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I liked.

Selection is very good and everything is very tasty. I find I don't get headaches after eating here. Some Chinese buffets, I do. Love their Sushi bar. My fav.

This buffet is not like your average buffet; It's usually busy, so the food is switched out often. The atmosphere is almost business casual and they keep clean.

This place is a guilty pleasure. I love going there for the variety and flavor of the food. I like hitting up the shrimp area when In craving it. Service is good ladies are very attentive. Make sure and take your tip money.

Food was good. Not amazing but the reason for 5 star was wait staff. My waitress did not let me empty my glass before she brought me a new one. Came to pick up plates as needed. Great attention and service

Not content paying the price I pay, but I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that. Food quality was about as expected. I generally go in and my first plate is a 5 pound plate of lo mein, but they had strands so I make do without. Nothing really unique all in all.

This place is great our family dinner nights have always been at another certain buffet in McAllen for the last 10 years. We tried the Grand China Buffet for the first time about three weeks ago and we all enjoyed it. The food is fresh it has a large variety and the atmosphere is comfortable there something for all of us we are a family of 10 and we are all picky this restaurant has all of our favorites. It's a win win we truly enjoyed it and have been there twice after our first visit therefore we will continue to utilize this establishment every chance we get.

This is one of the cleanest and organized I have been to.Staff allways nice and checking on you all the time. Go eat there!!!

The Mongolian food is always great.

Food isn't too bad, prices are a little pricey, but I guess for all you can eat, makes sense.

The food here is great! I love the food. My deal is 2 things. 1 the bathroom. So gross!!! 2. The to go price. I bought a plate to go for my husband who is in the hospital and paid full buffet price. The only allow one box, they dont have smaller boxes for any desserts or sauces. If I wanted a soup to go, it was almost $3 extra. Ridiculous. They should not be over charging like that. I totally understand for the buffet but not the To go.

One of the better Chinese buffets in the area. Definitely worth the 20 min drive.

I came before this place was rebuilt. It made a great improvement, the place looks sharp. Great food!!!

They prepared and small batches so that nothing is sitting on the buffet very long love it

The food seems fine. There's a bit variety in the choices of cuisine to chose from. The waiters keep to themselves which I like because I mostly just like them to ask if I need refills when my cup gets empty. They fill the food trays often, so you aren't waiting long for more food when it runs out. I haven't tried everything there, so I can say everything taste fine, or eatable, but it's worth the money. It's always half full, or full with people. Seating doesn't take long at all, and the drinks come out fast.

Way overpriced. Mediocre food. While we were there a large cockroach crawled up the wall and across the booth behind us.

Huge buffet! Food is good and at a decent price for all the variety of food they serve. The staff is polite. The restaurant is spacious and has a good location.

Great food, I love eating here. They must prepare for lunch hour during the week. They tent to ran out of food and there are empty pans in the buffet area, and some people just have a couple of minutes to eat.

They had a huge variety of options on choice's of food. And our waitress was SUPER attentive and to what we needed. She was a huge blessing

A mixture of Asian and American food. The food is made in large portions. We came around 7pm for dinner, and very few options were fresh. The entrance floor and the majority of the dining area was unswept. They looked understaffed. The waitress did her best to come over several times during our visit. There is a Mongolian option, but I did not try it.

I found a small bug in my donut, it was disgusting. Other than that, it was alright. The waiter was really nice.

This restaurant is a large, widely varied buffet of almost everything. It doesn't do any particular dish amazing but it does a lot of them well and the price is worth the cost for the variety here.
